These forms are a series of decorative objects based on plant forms - the voluptuous shapes of peppers and lady slippers and the intricacies of Asian lilies - but they have been altered in ways that respond to my concerns about genetically modified food.

Alpine glaciers have inspired this work - the curving shapes of lateral moraines, the contrast between the gritty rought surface ice and the icy blue green of the deep crevasses, the immense size and strength of the glacier contrasted with the fragile alpine flowers.

These hand built ewers and boxes are made of high-fired porcelainous stoneware. The colours come from the foothills where I live: layers of fields and hills, mountains and sky.
